The big winner of the night was One Battle After Another. The film, in which immigrant detention plays a central role, won the award for Best Film in the musical or comedy category and is considered one of the biggest Oscar favorites of this year. One Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, won several times. Teyana Taylor won the award for Best St. Paul Thomas Anderson won the Best Director award for the same film and also won One Battle After Another awards in the Best Screenplay category. The film was nominated the most often with nine.
