One of the most important things to keep in mind when creating a shot list is to be as detailed as possible. Each shot should be given a unique number and described in detail, including the camera angle, movement, and framing. This level of detail helps the director and cinematographer stay on the same page and ensures that everyone knows what is expected of them on set.

The company was home to pioneering director D. W. Griffith and such actors as Mary Pickford, Lillian Gish, and Lionel Barrymore.

A remake is a film, television series, video game, song or similar form of entertainment that is based upon and retells the story of an earlier production in the same medium—e.g., a "new version of an existing film". A remake tells the same story as the original but uses a different set of casts, and may use actors from the original, alter the theme, or change the flow and setting of the story. In addition, since a remake is released some time after the original work, it may incorporate new technologies, enhancements, and techniques that had not existed or been commonly used when the original work was created

Devil on the wall

The Devil on the Wall The reformation in Europe was a time of belief in gods and magic where the Catholic Church ruled in matters of morality and law, until their dogma was challenged by the emergence of the new Protestant church. The Reformers made use of the printing press to distribute their alternative ideas… but the Jesuit Priesthood had a more radical plan. “The Jesuits were very important for the Roman Catholic Church because they were multimedia people,” explains Dr Andreas Scheucher, curator of the AV Stumpfl Museum in Austria. “They founded a special form of spiritual theatre – the Jesuit theatre – and used the Magic Lantern. The first projected images from the Laterna Magica were images of the devil.” This was probably the first use of broadcast or projected images for the purposes of propaganda, but as wealth moved from the hands of the church and aristocracy and into the hands of merchants, so did the use of the Laterna Magica.

Muybridge pioneer

Edward Muybridge was a famous photographer from the 19th century. He became best known for his experiments with moving images, through which he became an important precursor to film. Who was Muybridge? Muybridge was born in 1830 in England and later moved to the United States. He initially worked as a bookseller, but subsequently gained fame as a photographer of landscapes, cities, and especially the movements of people and animals. What did he do? He investigated exactly how movement occurs. His most famous experiment was photographing a galloping horse. Using multiple cameras in succession, he proved that a horse briefly lifts all four legs off the ground while galloping. His series of photographs later formed an important basis for the development of cinema and animation.

Cutout animation can be made with figures that have joints made with a rivet or pin or, when simulated on a computer, an anchor. These connections act as mechanical linkage, which have the effect of a specific, fixed motion. Similar flat, jointed puppets have been in use in shadow plays for many centuries, such as in the Indonesian wayang tradition and in the "ombres chinoises" that were especially popular in France in the 18th and 19th century. The subgenre of silhouette animation is more closely related to these shadow shows and to the silhouette cutting art that has been popular in Europe especially in the 18th and 19th centuries

Rembrandt the Movie

I

In 1941, a group of Germans settled in Amsterdam. Not soldiers, but civilians. Artists, to be precise. They set to work to create a grand, and until then, most expensive film production in the Netherlands about Rembrandt van Rijn. In UFA Filmstadt Amsterdam, the former Cinetone studios, an enormous set rose in the form of an exact replica of the Rembrandt house on Jodenbreestraat, including the surrounding houses. In addition to the German cast and director, many Dutch people also worked on the film: as extras, set builders, tailors, or lighting technicians. Under the direction of Hans Steinhoff, who had made a name for himself as a Nazi filmmaker with his earlier film Hitlerjunge Quex, a film like a painting emerges with beautiful interplay of light and shadow.

Location shooting usually requires a location manager, and locations are usually chosen by a location scout. Many popular locations, such as New York City in the United States, Toronto in Canada, and the Isle of Man, a crown dependency of the United Kingdom, have dedicated film offices to encourage location shooting, and to suggest appropriate locations to film-makers. In many cases a second unit is dispatched to film on location, with a second unit director and sometimes with stand-in actors. These shots can then be edited into the final film or TV program alongside studio-shot sequences, to give an authentic flavor, without the expense or trouble of a full-scale location shoot
