Historical Footage

A historical drama (also period drama, period piece or just period) is a dramatic work set in the past, usually used in the context of film and television, which presents historical events and characters with varying degrees of fiction such as creative dialogue or scenes which compress separate events. The biographical film is a type of historical drama which generally focuses on a single individual or well-defined group. Historical dramas can include romances, adventure films, and swashbucklers. Historical drama differs from historical fiction, which generally presents fictional characters and events during historical events. A period piece may be set during a vast era such as the Middle Ages, or a specific period such as the Roaring Twenties, or the recent past.

Live action is a form of cinematography or videography that uses photography instead of animation. Some works combine live action with animation to create a live-action animated feature film. Live action is used to define film, video games or similar visual media. Photorealistic animation, particularly modern computer animation, is sometimes erroneously described as "live action", as in the case of some media reports about Disney's The Lion King (2019 remake). According to the Cambridge English Dictionary, live action involves "real people or animals, not models, or images that are drawn, or produced by computer"

All Fools Day

April Fools' Day or April Fool's Day  is an annual custom in many Western countries on the 1st of April consisting of practical jokes, hoaxes, and pranks. Jokesters often expose their actions by shouting "April Fool[s]!" at the recipient. Mass media can be involved with these pranks, which may be revealed as such the following day. The custom of setting aside a day for playing harmless pranks upon one's neighbor has been relatively common in the world historically.

Video Laser disc

LaserVision Protocols appeared as early as 1969, and a first unit was publicly demonstrated in 1972. Philips had been independently developing optical video recording in Eindhoven since 1970 and had been collaborating with DiscoVision since 1975. In 1976, the optical video disc was released on the American market in Atlanta. On all video discs, the image and sound were analog; however, on the Laserdisk discs manufactured after 1984, the sound was digitally encoded. The system became a commercial flop because Philips viewed itself as a hardware manufacturer and left the production of software (the discs) to third parties. Initially, they saw no potential in the new system, so players entered the market but no discs. Moreover, it was a disadvantage that video discs were not yet offered for rent in the rapidly emerging video rental stores, meaning the video recorder, which had been introduced a few years earlier, prevailed over the optical system for the time being.

Wes Anderson

During childhood, Anderson also began writing plays and making super-8 movies.
What sets Anderson apart are his playful camera techniques and use of symmetry. This goes hand in hand with his storytelling techniques, which make his stories distinctive, illustrate the tone, and provide subtle glimpses into his characters. A few of his unique style shots are: The Symmetrical Frame – Wes Anderson always uses symmetrical framing. If you were to draw a line down the middle of his frame, whatever is on the right side of the screen would also be on the left. Whip Pans & Tilts – He always uses these quick movements to transition from scene to scene or from character to character. The Tracking Shot – You often see the camera moving along with the characters. This is often a dolly shot, making it appear as if you are walking alongside the character. Extreme Bird's Eye View – a view from above of a specific subject. Anderson uses this when he wants to highlight something in his film. These are usually objects that are important or that he wants you to remember.

From its birth in the 1880s, movies were predominantly monochrome. Contrary to popular belief, monochrome does not always mean black-and-white; it means a movie shot in a single tone or color. Since the cost of tinted film bases was substantially higher, most movies were produced in black-and-white monochrome. Even with the advent of early color experiments, the greater expense of color meant films were mostly made in black-and-white until the 1950s, when cheaper color processes were introduced. By the 1960s, color became by far the dominant film stock. In the coming decades, the usage of color film greatly increased, while monochrome films became scarce.

In the early silent era, before the turn of the 20th century, "scripts" for films in the United States were usually a synopsis of a film of around one paragraph and sometimes as short as one sentence. Shortly thereafter, as films grew in length and complexity, film scenarios (also called "treatments" or "synopses" were written to provide narrative coherence that had previously been improvised Films such as A Trip to the Moon (1902) and The Great Train Robbery (1903) had scenarios consisting respectively of a list of scene headings or scene headings with a detailed explication of the action in each scene. At this time, scripts had yet to include individual shots or dialogue.
